Besides, this new version also offers custom boot land recovery logos for the older devices like iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) iPod touch 2G (Non MC), and iPhone 3G, along with the ability to let Windows users restore to a custom IPSW files that are cooked using PwnageTool for Mac.
PwnageTool 4.1 for Jailbreaking Apple TV 2G, iPhone 4, iPad and iPod touch 4G Now Available for Download
The iPhone Dev Team has finally released PwnageTool 4.1 which is based on recently released Geohot’s bootrom-based Limera1n exploit. This exploit enables this new version of PwnageTool to build custom firmware files for A4 devices like iPhone 4, iPad, Apple TV 2G and iPod touch 4G which was something, previously not possible.

We’ve released a beta version of redsn0w for the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at FW 4.1 or 4.0. It uses the same pwnage2 DFU-mode exploit that we’ve been using since the 2.x days. It does not include the SHAtter exploit developed by pod2g. Nothing new is revealed to Apple with this jailbreak.

If you want to keep your jailbreak and unlock, you better not update to this latest firmware now until and unless new jailbreak and unlock tools are available for download.
To update to iOS 4.1, all you need to do is to connect your iPhone or iPod touch with your computer via USB and start iTunes. You should now see a message as shown below. Simply click on “Download and Install” button to get on to the new firmware.
Download iOS 3.2.2 for iPad WiFi and iPad 3G
iOS 3.2.2 for iPad WiFi and iPad 3G is out! This update fixes the vulnerability in iOS which allows hackers to execute malicious code via PDF exploit in Safari. JailbreakMe used the same exploit to jailbreak all iPhones, iPod touches and iPads. Since this new update patches the exploit used by JailbreakMe, you wont be able to jailbreak your iPad until a new jailbreak tool is available.
If you love your jailbroken iPad, you better avoid this update now or you will be out of luck for long. Incase you have decided not to update, make sure you use PDF Loading Warner app which will make your web browsing safe. If you care about security, then you are better off updating to the latest firmware from iTunes.
To update to iOS 3.2.2 for iPad, all you need to do is to connect your iPad with your computer via USB and start iTunes. You should now see a message as shown below. Simply click on “Download and Install” button to get on to the new firmware.

Fix iBooks After iOS 4 Jailbreak with Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-4
Some users were complaining about newly released iBooks for iPhone having issues onjailbroken iOS 4 devices. The good news is that Redsn0w has been updated to version 0.9.5b5-4 in order to fix this problem. The official change log is as follows.
There’s a new redsn0w beta (links were changed above) that should fix any iBooks problems people were seeing. Just run this new version 0.9.5b5-4 and deselect Cydia (you don’t want to reinstall Cydia over itself).Instructions to jailbreak iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G on iOS 4 using Redsn0w 0.9.5 as usual are exactly similar to the last release. Please read all the instructions posted herecarefully before upgrading and jailbreaking your phone on iOS 4.
Once you have jailbroken your phone, you can unlock it using ultrasn0w 0.93 (on anybaseband), guide for which is posted here.

iBooks for iPhone with iOS 4 Now Available for Download
As was expected, Apple has just released iBooks app for iPhones iPod touches running the newly released iOS 4. This release basically makes iBooks a universal binary, which means that you can run the same app on both the iPhone and iPad.
With iBooks now on the iPhone, you can download all your favorite books directly to your iPhone and iPod touch, and if you have already purchased a book on your iPad, you can download it again on your iPhone for free. This new version of iBooks for both iPhone and iPad also enables wireless syncing of notes and bookmarks between all your iOS devices capable of running the iBooks app.

iOS 4 Now Available for Download!
Apple today has released iOS 4 for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 3G and iPod touch 2G to public as a free download via iTunes. This is the same build 8A293 which was released as GM candidate on June 7th. For those of you who don’t know, iOS 4 was formerly known as iPhone OS 4 and was renamed to iOS at this years’ WWDC 10 whereiOS 4 was first released to developers.
iOS 4 is fully supported on iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3rd gen. And, for iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd gen, they will run many things, but not multitasking (unless you knowwhere to look for it). An iPad version of iOS 4 is expected to be released by fall 2010.
To update to iOS 4 for iPhone, all you need to do is to connect your iPhone or iPod touch with your computer via USB and start iTunes. You should now see a message as shown below. Simply click on “Download and Install” button to get on to the new iOS 4 firmware.
Note: All iPhone jailbreakers and unlockers are highly recommended to stay away untilnew tools (which are very expected soon) are available for jailbreaking and unlocking this new firmware.

Redsn0w 0.9.5b5 iOS 4.0 Jailbreak Brings Multitasking, Wallpapers to iPod touch 2G and iPhone 3G
Redsn0w jailbreak tool has been updated to version 0.9.5b5 which brings full support for iPod touch 2G, along with optional support to enable multitasking and wallpapers on iOS 4.0 (formerly iPhone OS 4) on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G which otherwise are disabled by Apple.
Warning Note: This release is strictly meant for official activated iPhones, if you rely on an unlock, stay away from this release.
The redsn0w beta has been updated for 4.0GM, and it now supports the iPod touch 2G too. Multitasking and homescreen wallpaper are now turned on by default (Apple doesn’t normally allow this on these 2 devices).Instructions to jailbreak iPhone 3G on iOS 4.0 GM using Redsn0w 0.9.5b5 are exactly similar to the last release. Please read all the instructions posted here carefully before upgrading and jailbreaking your phone to iOS 4.
Because 4.0GM isn’t yet public, you’ll need a Mac and iTunes 9.2 to use it. Since this redsn0w beta is intended only for those with legitimate developer program access, this shouldn’t be a problem.
Just like our other betas, this one intentionally doesn’t “hactivate”. Please wait for Apple’s public release of 4.0 for that part of it.

Download Spirit to Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2, iPod touch 3G
The all-in-one untethered iDevice jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod touch 2G/3G is finally here. Available for both Windows and Mac OS X, Spirit is a userland jailbreak but it does not work out-of-the browser as previously thought. It is in fact a simple one click app, like Blackra1n which can jailbreak (not unlock) any Apple iDevice on iPhone 3.1.2 or 3.1.3.
It is also important to note here that Spirit wont unlock your phone. It is a jailbreaking tool only that will only work on devices which are activated via iTunes. So if you rely on an unlock, DO NOT upgrade to stock firmware or you’ll be stuck. Unlock for iPhone 3.1.3 on 05.12.01 baseband wont be out before the next iPhone hit the shelves. And that wont be before June/July of this year.
Make sure that you have your SHSH files saved. You can jailbreak without saving SHSH files but you wont be safe once Apple patches the exploit used by Spirit. Follow the instructions posted here to save your SHSH blobs.

Requirements
- Spirit is an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touchon the latest firmwares.
- Spirit is not a carrier unlock.
- If you currently are using a tethered jailbreak, you have to restore to use Spirit. Do not upgradeif you use an unlock on an iPhone 3G or 3GS. (You can, however, restore to 3.1.2 if you have SHSH blobs for that version.)
Note: On iPad, all this is still sort of beta. Some packages in Cydia, not designed for iPad, might screw up your system and require you to restore. Be careful. (And no, Cydia’s appearance is not final.)
- Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2.
- An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes orEmergency Call screen.
- Any version of iTunes 9 (including 9.1.1).
